Heya, fellas. Steve-O here. I've got a new, kick ass FAQ to answer a few questions I've received about my series here. So, if you're at all interested in this little FAQ of mine, then scroll down and take a look! Huzzah!

What exactly IS your artwork?

My artwork is a huge collection of sprite comics, comic pictures, sketches, and other computerized drawings. MY artwork is composted of cartoon versions of myself, as well as many of my friends, along with many fictional antagonists.

Is your artwork a series of some sort?

As a matter of fact, yes. Originally called "The Adventures of Jesse & Steve-O," I renamed my series to "Dalton City." The series is about two guys, Jesse Clark and Stephen Kirkwood ("Steve-O"), who visit Tronix Labs for a tour during their college class. Steve-O accidentally gets cloned by a defective cloning machine, which creates an evil clone ("Evo Zero") bent on world domination. Now it's up to Jesse and Steve-O to defeat Evo and save the world from his clutches, all the while battling other villains in the process.

Are any of the characters in your series real people?"

Yes. All of the protagonists (except for Dr. Tronix and Dr. Komma) are real people. As for all of the antagonists, they are all fictional.

How did you get the idea for your series?

It happened during lunch in high school one day. I was sittin' there by myself, when I wondered what it would be like if I had become a cartoon character. So, I drew a cartoon version of myself, and viola! Later on, I decided to draw my best friend Jesse as a cartoon character. Over the years, I worked hard on my drawings and improved them more and more, turning more of my friends into cartoons. Eventually, I began to add fictional villains together, and soon created a plot. After about four years, "Dalton City" was born.

What all do you use to create your artwork?

Well, for my old sketches, I used just a pencil and printer paper. I scanned them, then uploaded them. As for all of my other pieces, I usually use MSPaint for my sprite comics, and PhotoImpression 4 for the special effects found in the sprite comics. Now, for the actual drawings, I use a combination of MSPaint and Paint.NET. Many of them were also done using Macromedia Flash as well. Unfortunately, I don't have a tablet, so everything is drawn with a mouse.

What sprites do you use for your sprite comics?"

The majority of my sprites consist of sprites from the SNES game, "Mega Man 7." However, I also use sprites from many, many other sources too. WAY too many sources to even count. What I did was I visited the Spriter's Resource and basically browsed every single genre of sprites that caught my eye. If I found some sprites I could use, I'd copy them and paste them onto a blank MSPaint document. I used sprites from Mario games, Sonic the Hedgehog games, Mega Man games, you name it.

What other resources do you use?

Well, the only other resources I can think of would be the websites I get my sources from, and the fonts I use. The main font I use for my sprite comics is 10-pt. Arial. I use 8-pt. Digital Strip for my larger comic pages. As for the websites, I get my sprites from the Spriter's Resource [link] and [link] and even [link] .

Can I be in your sprite comic?

Well, as for the main sprite comic that I'm doing, no. However, I often do totally separate sprite comic pages and small strips that have nothing to do with the main sprite comic's storyline. So, yes, you can be in the minor sprite comics, but not in the main sprite comic.

Do you do commissions?

As a matter of fact, I do. I actually offer commissions to people for FREE (I know there's a word for that, because commissions aren't free). A gift, I guess? Anyway, if you want this 'free commission' or 'gift,' all you have to do is ask. That's it! All I ask from YOU is that you tell me what kind of commission you want. Your options are either sprite comic strip/page, or a full drawn cartoon page. I can create a sprite of you, your cartoon self, your avatar, etc. and put it into the comic, or draw it out in a single large page. You just have to specify what you prefer. The reason why I'm doing them for free is because 1) Artist's block 2) Boredom 3) My art isn't THAT great.

Do you have a MySpace?

Yes. You can see it here. [link]

Do you have any other forms of contact?

Yes, but I do keep them limited just to be safe. If you'd like to contact me for any reason, here are the contacts I have allowed to be publicized:

Thank you very much! I'm glad somebody likes them.

I can see what I can do for that kind of commission. I've never seen Dr. Who before, so I'd have to do a little bit of research and everything ^^;

The usual sprites I use for my comics are the SNES "Mega Man 7" sprites, so I could create a Mega man recolor for the Dr. Who guys, and like a Roll recolor for you.

It'll be about a week or two before I actually start; I'm going through a bit of complications right now, but until then, you could just leave me information on what exactly you want your commission to be about (what happens, who's in it, etc).

And as always, you'll see Jesse and Steve-O somewhere in the comic (I always secretly put my characters in there as an extra) :D
